ECLECTIC LIVES IN ECLECTIC HOMES

Our 2024 September Salons include amazing homes, wonderful hosts, renowned artists, fantastic musicians, and creatively  delicious food and drinks. This year there are three eclectic homes representing the amazing eclectic lifestyle of their owners. They are all purveyors of taste and style in their own unique and personal way. Admission is $115.00 per event or you may purchase a pass to all three for $300.00 but hurry because once ahouse sells out it will end the option to buy a pass to all three. All Salons are from 3 pm - 5 pm.

    David Bartley and Shelby Reynolds
 
   Built-in 1925 in the Kenwick area known as Morningside.

This house is a quintessential example of the bungalow style.  The home showcases numerous breathtaking collections, reflecting the personalities of its owners. David and Shelby will present regional artists Marco Logsdon, Christine Kuhn, and Charles Jolly.   Their zen garden and bonsai tree collection will serve as the center of salon activity.

  Jennie Leavell
 

 Jennie Leavell's 1890 Victorian townhouse is an eccentric bohemian masterpiece in the heart of  Lexington. She has carefully collected and curated unusual and masterful furniture and works of art.   The house is a somewhat delicate personal vision of color, texture, and whimsy.   Art Shechet and Marilyn Robie
 
  Marilyn Robie and Art Shechet have created an Eden-like oasis in their Ultra Modern home beginning with a bridge to the front door. Their home  is surrounded by woods and filled with contemporary art. There are works by Art's internationally famous sister Arlene Shechet and other national and regional artists. Musical guests Tall Dark and Handsome and George Ella Lyon 2015-16 Kentucky Poet Laureate will be showcased.
